Recycled Thoughts. 2022

Sculpture for Recycled Thoughts emerged from an unexpected hiatus caused by a studio incident that forced us out of our workspace for a few weeks. With limited resources at my disposal, I found myself drawn to the possibilities of recycled plastic - an affordable, accessible, and convenient material that offered new avenues of exploration. This medium's transparency and layering qualities inspired me to create a sculpture that asks the viewer to delve deep within themselves. By closing their eyes and allowing thoughts to flow freely, this sculpture encourages reflection on the negative thoughts that often repeat themselves. The question arises: how can these thoughts be recycled and transformed into something positive and productive?
